Home

My mind is
everywhere and
anywhere
except where
it should be. It is
a dragonfly,
darting from
thought to thought;
a minnow,
barely beneath the surface
of things I have to do
want to do
don’t want to do.
“I want to go home!” it screams finally.
“You are home,” I reply but it shakes
its head.
“I want to stay here,” it whispers. “Please,
don’t make me go.”
